| In a few months I have a lump some of money heading my way and I've decided that I'll be spending that for a new car. The budget is around 20-25k. I've been reading and researching a few cars in order to choose what car I want. To help you guys out, I am looking for a car that has a great mix of performance and looks. Right now my favorite is the 300zx. It looks great and sooo sexxy to my eyes and it'd have to have twin turbos, which are perfect amount of speed i'm looking for. Let me explain to you guys my driving habits, I am not a HARDCORE racer, but I do like to race a little bit, mostly with friend just for shits and giggles. However I don't want a totally slow car either.. I want something to beat most cars on the street :) Which i've concluded the 300zx tt can do pretty well stock. Now there are more than just buying and driving the 300zx... maintenance is very expensive and must be cared for like a baby. The $$ isn't a great deal in stoping me from buying the car, it's just another use of this "new" car will be that it's a daily driver. A daily driver 300zx TT is not very realistic for that it's a 15 year old car and it's a 2 seater. Those are some reasons that its stopping me from getting the car. Plusses are that its a rarer car to see than the list i'm giong to give you guys and It's beautiful. Other cars i'm looking at are maybe the sti, and the evo, however I don't really like how they look but they're in the same class in speed as the 300zx.
Both potentially fast casr, but both potentially ugly and doesn't have the flow or appeal of a 300zx and very recognizable which makes it not unique. Now taking out the speed and giong to a more average speed, i'm looking towards an RSX, SI, or a Celica.
I reallyi like the Celica out of the bunch, with just a little few mods it looks awesome in my opinion, but however a highly modded celica goes as fast as a stock TT. I don't know what you guys may take this thread out but its basically a 20 year old looking to take his virginity away with a nice new car. (Past two cars are a 5 spd 94 altima and geo prizm) Please help me decide... remember it's going to be a daily driver(and if i buy a 300zx i dont really want to take it out everyday, unless it's really not that serious please tell me) and it's got have some decent speed... thanks a lot for the time guys!
